Men will rise again
Kings will perish before they are innocent
And on the renewed earth
There will no longer be the evil despot
And there will be the son,
and there will be the mother,
And there will be men on earth
А люде виростуть.
Умруть Ще незачатиє царята
І на оновленій землі
Врага не буде, супостата,
А буде син, і буде мати,
І будуть люде на землі
INTERNATIONALISATION AND UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE
The universal language of architecture together with the vision of the profession in an internationalization perspective as an exchange and sharing of skills and experiences. The ability of architects to play a crucial role in the processes of conception, design and construction on a global scale, creates fertile ground at any latitude for peace.
Architects who build cities, imagine cities, design cities, do not destroy them. How architecture can make a significant contribution to peace.
Design for Peace coincides perfectly with the process of professional internationalization. It integrates and combines hospitality, inclusion, mutual transfer of skills, team growth, multilingual communication, extraterritorial professional opportunities.
Architectural firms that adhere to the initiative demonstrate and confirm the personal and professional resilience of architects.
The project consists in the activation of specific workshops on recovery and re-design of places symbol of territories in situations of emergency and conflict.
INTERNATIONALIZATION: ITALIAN AND UKRAINIAN ARCHITECTS TO DESIGN PEACE SPACES
The vision of post-war reconstruction of Ukrainian cities favors young architects from Ukraine to get in touch and collaborate with Italian professional realities, to generate the dream and image of a future of peace through architecture.
The initiative is implemented by the National Council of Architects PPC and the Order of Architects PPC of Rome and province, with the support of the Department for Youth Policies and the Universal Civil Service of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, with the patronage and technical support of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Italian Republic.
INTERNATIONALIZATION: VISIONS OF POST-WAR RECONSTRUCTION POSSIBLE
The Design for Peace project provides, through the workshops lasting four months, the award of scholarships to Ukrainian architects under 35 currently present on Italian territory with refugee status or under temporary protection, after 24 February 2022. The buildings subject to restoration and re-design are symbolic places indicated directly by the Ministry of Development of the Communities and Territories of Ukraine through the Embassy of Ukraine in the Italian Republic. Because of the ban on men between the ages of 18 and 60 to leave Ukraine, the five female fellows are exclusively women. Starting to think about a future of peace and reconstruction, supported by the community of Italian architects, planners, landscape designers and conservatives, is the only international initiative at a global level.
The Italian professional studies that have responded to the event of interest offer hospitality, technical support and know-how for the workshops and the definition of projects by assigning to the project a graduate tutor architect under 35.
