ARCHITETTI SENZA FRONTIERE – ITALY
c/o Ordine Architetti PPC di Milano
via Solferino 19 – 20121 Milano
ASF-Italy promotes research and design initiatives aimed at improving the human habitat in terms of social and environmental sustainability.
ASF-Italy is a non-profit organization founded in Milan in 1998 to help reduce the disconnect between architectural practice and training and their impact on the majority of the world’s population – communities and people living in poverty and marginality. With the ultimate goal of international solidarity, ASF-Italy deals with architectural projects within the framework of social, territorial and environmental programs, in close collaboration with local partners.
The association operates in two main sectors: in the field of training it regularly organizes workshops, seminars and courses in collaboration with some Lombard schools (high schools and departments of architecture) aimed at updating, disseminating and raising awareness on particular construction techniques typical of the contexts in which the association operates; as part of the ASF-Italy cooperation, it coordinates, together with other associations specialized in different sectors (educational, health, economic, etc.) projects in Africa, Asia and Central America.
