LOAD

An association based in Bologna and composed of young architects, brought together by a shared interest in the study of urban and architectural realities in situations of poverty and marginalization.

It develops projects that respect the socio-cultural context in which it operates and that valorize the use of local resources, promoting sustainable social and economic development and attentive to human rights.

LOAD collaborates with public and private bodies, institutions and organizations that pursue the same social goals, promoting the development of local networks through participatory processes and construction of socially useful structures.

It operates in various contexts both nationally and internationally, but always working with a local approach in the analysis of materials and construction/craft techniques.

The association is also attentive to the issues of environmental and landscape sustainability, as well as to the enhancement of the local cultural heritage.
